The Val Gardena road system is directly connected to the Brenner freeway (A22). From the south you pass through Verona - Trento - Bolzano and arrive in Klausen; and from the north you take the route Innsbruck - Brenner - Klausen. Here the exit "Chiusa - Val Gardena" is indicated. Following the road signs after about twenty minutes you will reach Ortisei. Traveling in winter: to avoid problems on snowy roads we recommend snow tires or chains.

• TRAIN: Val Gardena is connected to the rest of Italy and also to Northern Europe by excellent InterCity and EuroCity trains. All stop in Bolzano or Bressanone, some also in Chiusa.
